A study was undertaken by ONYX in 2021 to look at development opportunities for the owner of the property located at a notable transportation nexus in Pasadena.
By design, the project aims to realize the potential urban fabric of this neighborhood, utilizing a contrasting contemporary architectural language that nonetheless remains deeply rooted in the scale and detailing of its more traditional inspired surroundings.

The program is a diverse mix of residential and commercial life, featuring 99 housing units that accommodate a range of needs, from market-rate homes to low- and moderate-income housing.



Supporting this community is 25,500 square feet of versatile commercial space—including retail, traditional office, and innovative live-work environments—all supported by a 225-stall underground parking facility.
The building’s public identity is defined by a vibrant, colorful archway situated at the street corner, acting as a visual gateway that draws the surrounding energy into the heart of the site. Beyond and around this focal piece lies a central courtyard.


Each residential unit features a flexible deck space. Residents also have access to amenity spaces including a roof deck that features a sculptural canopy and a spectacular view of the San Gabriel Mountains.
