Details

The adaptive reuse project, designed by ONYX in partnership with National CORE and American Family Housing, converted a three-story motel into 63 apartments.

62 studios are for individuals and families exiting homelessness, plus one on-site manager’s unit. Renovations included updated kitchens with all-electric appliances, new vinyl flooring, and modern finishes.

A 2,000-square-foot community building now provides lounge areas, a computer nook, and leasing offices, creating space for connection and access to resident programs.

Outdoors, the once-underutilized site was reshaped into a welcoming environment with a landscaped courtyard, barbecues, seating areas, a fitness space, and a dog run.

This redevelopment directly addresses Orange County’s housing crisis, bringing stability and supportive services to residents in a vibrant, community-focused setting.
